We’ve always been fans of the classic Mexican Valentina products here at Catford Fire. Nothing fancy, but nevertheless absolutely recognisable. One of their most delicious hallmarks is the chilli/lime/salt combo. The dried shaker goes down a LOT around these parts.
So, we decided to create a tribute to that, with loads of milder green chillis and a good amount of hand-squeezed fresh lime juice. This is designed to be a milder sauce, but darnit, it’s a good one. A little bit of punch, and a lot of zing. Turns out, this gringo knows how to make a hot sauce.
Ingredients: Water, green chilli, apple cider vinegar, onion, pineapple, agave nectar, lime juice, garlic, salt, stabiliser (xanthan gum).
